I am accredited by Humanists UK to conduct wedding, vow renewal and funeral ceremonies. I pride myself on writing and conducting unique, personal and meaningful ceremonies. I will keep you involved every step of the way and take time to get it right. You will be in control and have final sign off on the script. You can be innovative, radical and daring or traditional, beautiful and poignant. You decide.

My background

A little about me

I have spent most of my working life in clinical practice for the NHS and for over 30 years I worked as an academic in the University sector, most recently as professor and pro vice chancellor for a London university. I am used to public speaking, writing and working with others to tell their stories.

I took early retirement from higher education and with my partner, Norman, now own and run a pub with guest rooms and restaurant in the Cotswolds, and a restaurant in Broadway, Worcestershire. At our pub, we host small bespoke weddings, parties and events., though I am happy to attend and conduct ceremonies anywhere within 40 miles of the pub (postcode GL56 0XH), further afield for additional mileage charges.

We live in Warwickshire with our two dogs, Beaker and Bunsen.

You may be brimming with ideas for your ceremony, or not know where to start. You may be raring to go, or slow off the blocks. You may be planning a ceremony for the day after tomorrow, or in two years time. However prepared you feel, however clear or muddled your mind may be, I will work my socks off to plan, write and officiate your perfect ceremony.
